We have partnered with Smart.Vet to enhance our emergency services for our clients

In case of an emergency after hours, call our regular number 250-785-4578 and follow the prompts. If North Peace Veterinary Clinic (NPVC) is not your regular veterinary clinic, contact your primary care clinic first.

We have recently partnered with Smart.Vet, a Canadian veterinary triage and telemedicine service. When you are connected to Smart.Vet through our phone system, a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) will assess your situation and make a recommendation for proceeding. All large animal emergency calls will be directed to a NPVC veterinarian by the RVT. If critical care is required for a pet, a NPVC veterinarian will be contacted and an emergency visit will be arranged. If your pet’s condition is assessed as less urgent, the technologist will offer you options including a virtual telemedicine consult with a Smart.Vet BC licensed veterinarian.

 Please note that fees apply to consultations, telemedicine and examinations delivered by NPVC or Smart.Vet veterinarians. Your understanding is appreciated as we adapt to the high demand for emergency veterinary care in our community and beyond.
