At minimum, all dogs crossing the border must appear healthy, be at least six months of age with a universally readable microchip, and have an owner completed CDC Dog Import Form. Rabies vaccination is highly recommended as it is required for many states within the US and is required for return to Canada. All dog owners must be aware that regulations are subject to change, and their due diligence and research is required, to ensure entry at the US border is not denied.
